Who Can Join?

Canyon Lake Aquahawks is open to residents in and around Canyon Lake. Swimmers are eligible to join the team if they are 4 to 18 years of age as of June 1st.  Swimmer’s age for the entire season is determined by their age as of June 1st of the current season.  Younger swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool by the end of the second week.

What Equipment is needed?

A green, black, or team suit; kickboard; two pairs of goggles; towel; practice cap. The team swim cap will be handed out the week before the first meet.

The competitive 2026 team suit will only available at Swim Freak located at 10350 Bandera Rd, San Antonio or at our team online shop in 2026. Swim suits are one piece for girls and a jammer or briefs for boys. Swim caps are REQUIRED at MEETS for all swimmers.  It is recommended that swimmers get use to wearing a cap at practice.

What do membership fees pay for?

Practices, league fees, insurance, swimmer t-shirt, team swim cap, coaches' salaries, ribbons, awards, normal operating expenses (printing heat sheets,  printer cartridges, ribbon labels, batteries, equipment repair, etc.), and in 2026 and beyond for 4 dual meets, 1 championship meet, and (for those who qualify) an All Star meet.
